         NOTAM: This aircraft is in FS6.1 (FS98) Format
         The FSCONV98.EXE and FS98PAT1.EXE Programs
         MUST be installed to FS98.

        These are available from microsoft.com and flightsim.com
        plus other Flightsim sites on the Net.

        To install: UnZip to your FS98\AIRCRAFT Folder using
        WinZip or similar program making sure the paths option
        is turned on.

        Then add your favorite turboprop sound files and panel
        and go flying.
        I can recommend a not very huge, but still complete set
        of sounds named: SAABJB03.zip (or later), by Jens Borgstroem.

        This aircraft was created by me using AF99 by Abacus Software
        and consists of a.o. 12 point round fuselage and 3D parts,
        animated control surfaces, moving spoilers and landing gear.
        It also has Moving Props and operating Landing Lights Added
        using "Aircraft Animator".

        FYI, to operate the lights - press CTRL L to turn them on or
        off. At night you can see them illuminating runway.
        Furthermore: Operational Nav Lights and Strobes.
                     Night Lighting seen in cabin windows and 6 bladed
                     Props shown at engines off.

    A few words from Jens Borgstroem re. the handling and such.
    Here's a few facts and figures :

        Speeds:
        -------
        Max speed VNE set to: 370 KIAS and 72 Mach
        Max cruise speed is : 350 KIAS / 70 Mach
        Fast cruise ( not max. ) is 320KIAS
        Ord. / eco. cruise is 310 - 315KIAS
        [Visually balanced fore/aft. at round 320 - 330 KIAS.
         At speeds from approx. 250 and lower, use flaps to balance]

        At FL 200 these are the figures ( approx.):
        N1 = 91 pct approx.
        N2 = 93
        Spd = 315KIAS / 68Mach / Grndspeed 407
        Consumption: 580 GPH / 1896 PPH
        Range : 1.285 - 1299 NM
        Nose pitch up: 1 1/2 degr.

        Climb rate in FT/min:
        ---------------------
        Climb <8.000 =  1.900 - 2.200
        Climb  8.000 - 12.000 = 1.900
        Above 12.000          = 1.500

        ........

        Approach ( eg. on std 3* glideslope ):
        --------------------------------------
        approx. 20NM out - set first flap and reduce speed to round 180 KIAS
        approx. 10NM out - set next flap and reduce to 165 ( comes by itself )
        approx. 7NM out - set next flap and reduce to 150
        approx. 4NM out - Perhaps set next flap and reduce speed to 140-130.
                 Let the speed wear off so on final you 'float in' at round 130
                 over threshold and 120 on touchdown ( activate airbrakes and
                 possibly full flaps ).

        On approach she is comming in rather flat, slightly nose up though,
        like the real bird.

        Slight flare is necessary at touchdown.

        Remember this aircraft has reversed thrust / reversing prop pitch, which
        is activated by pressing ( default ) F2 key.
